Girl, 2, dies after being left in car for 4 hours by mum

A two-year-old girl died after being left in a car for four hours at a vocational college car park in Port Dickson today, media reports said.

The incident occurred at 9am when the child’s mother, who is working as a lecturer at the college, brought the girl to work.

Port Dickson district police chief Supt Zainudin Ahmad said the woman, 32, parked her Proton Saga and left, forgetting about her child.

The haunting cries by Hasmah Masroh, 32, at the Port Dickson Hospital mortuary, drew many to tears, as she was consoled by more than 30 relatives and friends.

Hasnah accidentally left her daughter, Nur Awfa Humaisha Muhammad Ali Riduan, in the back seat of her car as she went to work at a college in Batu 3 here, today. The two-year-old girl died of a heat stroke.

Hasnah only realised that she had her left Nur Awfa four hours later. By that time, the girl was unconscious. She was later confirmed dead when she was brought to the hospital.

A two-year-old child from Malaysian town called Port Dickson died after mother left her inside the car for several hours on Wednesday, March 14.

Port Dickson district police chief Superintendent Zainudin Ahmad said that the mother, Hasmah Masroh drove her Proton Saga and brought the infant to a local college, which is her workplace at around 9 am. When she arrived at the college car parking site, she left her daughter inside the car.

The 32-year-old woman forgot about the child, Nur Awfa Humaisha Muhammad Ali Riduan and suddenly realised after four hours.

A two-year-old girl died after being left in her mother’s car for four hours at a college car park here, today.

Media reports said the girl’s 32-year-old mother, who is a staff at the college, parked her car at 9am but forgot about her child.

 A nine-month-old baby girl died after being flung out of her mother's car which was involved in a freak car accident at Kilometer 19.3 Jalan Seremban - Simpang Pertang last night.

Jelebu Deputy Chief of Police, Deputy Superintendent Kamarul Rizal Jenal said the accident involving three vehicles took place at 7.30pm.

He said the victim, Lim Hui Chee, 25, was driving a Toyota Vios on her way back home to Titi from Seremban at the time of the accident.
