How to prevent strained eyes
It’s a jungle out there. A jungle of screens that is. Did you know that we Singaporeans are spending more than 12 hours a day staring at screens? Even if you didn’t realise the amount of time we spend staring at screens, you must have felt the effects of strained eyes,
From the moment the alarm rings in the morning, right through to when we drift off to sleep at night, we’re glued to our mobile phones, tablets, laptops and TVs. We even stare at outdoor LED displays! Needless to say, these habits aren’t doing your eyes any favours, but don’t panic. Here are a few simple ways to protect your peepers in our screen-centric city.
Get rid of school tube-style computer monitors! LCD screens usually have an anti-reflective surface which reduces stress on your eyes. Forget old screens with low resolution and flickering images, and get yourself an upgrade!
