These striking images show huge swathes of land in the country's southern Luoping area covered with the the rapeseed crop, which has proved to be a popular biofuel

These photographs were taken by German photographer Anne Berlin as she drove through the region on a photo tour

The most famous spot to view the rapeseeds flower is Jinjifeng (Golden Chicken Peak) located a few kilometres outside of town

The landscape is flat. The flatness allows the gentle breeze to move the flowers in mesmerizing sways

Oil from the plant is commonly sold as the main ingredient in vegetable oil and used both in the home and in food production

The oil's versatility means that it can also be used in the production of biodiesel, which is favoured by climate change campaigners as an alternative to crude oil

Photographer Anne Berlin said she felt like Alice in Wonderland as she walked through the brightly-coloured crops
