It’s time to dispel the superstition surrounding bats — docile, majestic creatures commonly misconstrued as blood-sucking vampires, vermin, and symbols of bad omens.
The fact is that bats are harmless. They tend to be frightened of humans and keep out of our way as much as possible.
Bats are beautiful mammals and integral to healthy ecosystems. Let’s reclaim their reputation by busting a few myths and getting to know them better:
