Simple and Best Beauty Tips for Men

Women aren’t the only ones who worry about their looks. As a man, you probably aren’t going to be applying any makeup, but there are still things you can do to make sure you always look your best. These simple beauty tips and reminders will boost your sex appeal and your confidence. When you follow them regularly you can’t go wrong.

A close, clean shave is one of the most surefire ways for a man to look his best. It’s true that some men look good with a little stubble, but no matter how you wear your facial hair, it needs to be kempt. To get the best shave, make sure your hairs are softened by shaving after a hot shower or by placing a warm washcloth on your face for a few minutes beforehand.

Shave against the direction of your hair growth – unless you have sensitive skin, in which case you should go with the direction of your hair to minimize irritation. Make sure you are using a sharp blade, and lather up with some moisturizing, but not too thick, shaving lotion. Don’t forget the good-smelling aftershave to attract the ladies.

Hair Care
You don’t have to dye your hair or wear it in a fancy style with lots of gel. Too much hair maintenance can be a turn off for many women. If you’re going gray, either embrace it or get your hair professionally dyed to match your natural color as closely as possible. A fresh haircut, like your shave, is most important. Don’t let your hair get overgrown. If you’re balding, keep it very short to make it less obvious.

Skin Care
You should also focus on taking good care of your skin. Wash it regularly with a gentle cleanser; if you have acne, use a cleanser with salicylic acid. After washing, apply some moisturizer with SPF. This will help your skin look healthy, and it will also protect you from the sun and help ward against wrinkles. Use a gentle exfoliating cleanser once or twice per week to reduce the buildup of dead skin.

Hands and Feet
There are some men who actually opt for manicures and pedicures, but you don’t necessarily have to go that far to take care of your hands and feet. You should make an effort, though, because women do notice. Keep your nails trimmed, and use moisturizer on your hands and feet, too, so your skin is soft. In the shower, rub down calluses on your feet with pumice stone.

Another thing women will always notice is your smile – and your teeth. Use a whitening toothpaste, or regularly use another treatment, like whitening strips, to help keep your smile bright. It doesn’t take long for cigarettes, food, and coffee to dull or yellow your teeth. Also remember to floss regularly to enhance the appearance of your teeth, as well as keep up with dental hygiene. It does without saying – brush at least twice a day, and use mouthwash, too, for extra fresh breath.
