Teacher Allegedly Seeks Sugar Daddy on Sugarbook Using Real Name, has reportedly tendered her resignation
Singaporeans have high regard for teachers as they’re the bedrock of society. So when a user allegedly came across a teacher on Sugarbook – a website that pairs women with men willing to pay for their time – he lodged a complaint to the Ministry of Education (MOE). He felt that the lady should be held to higher standards as a teacher.
MOE is now looking into the matter and emphasised that they take a serious view of staff misconduct. Recently, a user of Sugarbook reportedly came across a teacher on the website advertising herself as a potential “sugar baby”. The teacher had allegedly used her real name on her Sugarbook profile.
According to The Straits Times (ST), the user had even cross-referenced the female teacher’s Sugarbook profile with her social media account. He felt that she should be held to a higher standard as a teacher, and lodged a report to MOE. In response to the complaint, MOE said they’re aware of it and are looking into the matter, reported ST.
Guy would rather pay sugar babies aged 19 – 22 for company than have a relationship
Voicing an unpopular opinion, a 27-year-old guy wrote that he would rather go out with sugar babies instead of finding a girlfriend
In an anonymous post on confessions page NUSWhispers, the guy wrote: “For the longest time, I bemoaned my lack of dating success. I would look at friends who were attached and feel so much envy. Wondering why couldn’t [I] just find someone who I could care for, and would care for me in return”. He added that he created an account on Sugarbook, an online dating service that was founded in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Sugarbook is most popular in the Southeast Asian countries of Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines. It is known for people to find “mutually beneficial relationships,” sugar babies and sugar daddies.
The guy wrote that after logging on to Sugarbook, he started seeing a few girls from the app. Not all of them were interested in physical relationships, “But it’s fine, I enjoy the company of them all. Taking them out to dinner, chatting with them, sending them home”. He added that he was 27 years old, but looked for girls between the ages of 19 to 22.
“Some of these girls, for their own reasons need the money, and i’m happy to help them with it and make their life a little easier,” he wrote. Since he had a job that paid well, he explained that after saving some money and investing some, he had enough to reward himself. “And I gotta say, it feels good,” he wrote.

Sugar Baby: A lifestyle choice?
"Lucky" and "grateful" were words that Singaporean Felice Ang, 23, used to describe her state of mind when she's with her boyfriend.
And the expensive gifts and experiences that he showers on her? They are a "privilege" of their relationship. The gifts include hotel stays, the latest gadgets and custom jewellery. That, as well as cold, hard cash.
If this all sounds a little odd, that's because these are perks that Felice enjoys as a "sugar baby" to her 35-year-old "sugar daddy".
